Pre travel day!

April 2018

Hi everyone 👋🏼

So day is our “pre travel day”… I am very old school that I have lists of things I need to do before we set off, these lists have been going on for the full week, cleaning, changing beds, updating itinerary, all the ironing etc… so days list is make sure we have everything, passports, cases packed, over night bag, chargers, iPads & phones, tickets and so on as our list is endless..

We had everything ready to go last night, so now all house is nice and clean to come home to, time to pack car up and all pile in.. Yeyy we are off, we only get 5 minutes down the road and we stop for a McDonald’s breakfast break.

Now we are all feed and watered, we are officially off on our road tip down to Gatwick airport for our over night stay at bloc hotel. The journey is tiring taking us 5+ hours, making a few stops. But we eventually make it to Gatwick airport.

We have parked in short stay multi-storey which allows us to walk out into the terminal to twilight check in, this is a god send for us been able to dump the cases the night before, as trying to push a pram, wheelchair, 2 hand luggage cases, 3 large cases and 2 car seats on the day of travel isn’t good 😩.. so check in was really easy, 3 large cases and 2 car seats gone and the staff were all waiting to serve us with no wait, I would recommend this to anyone.

Now we have checked in, we head back to the car which cost us £7, seems a lot for a short time but this for us is ideal. We take the car to the long stay car park which we have pre booked. We park up next to a bus stop for easiness, we all pile back out the car like pack horses just as the bus pulled up so no waiting, Happy days! We jump the shuttle across to bloc hotel. Check in again was very easy we had a run away view family room which was great. The hotel it’s self is stunning, very clean smells lovely, they have lifts to all floors, a laundry room for ironing any last bits which was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is where our travel day ends as we put the children to bed and climb into bed ourselves rather excited for Disney.
